This pretty cottage is tucked away in a quiet country lane leading to a little creek, and the superb coastal footpath, that takes you around the whole of Brittany! The countryside around is pretty and there are lovely walks, with little coves and creeks to explore. We think it makes an excellent holiday home in a beautiful unspoilt area.
The house has a light and cheerful
atmosphere and is comfortably furnished. You can't see the sea from the house
(just little glimpses from upstairs) but it is a very pleasant 5-minute walk
along the coastal path.
Ground floor: Spacious living and dining room with comfortable seating, TV with CNN
English speaking channel, DVD, CD and an open fireplace. Kitchen with
traditional 4-ring cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer
and electric coffee maker. Shower room and a separate WC.
First floor: Three bedrooms, double bed and two twins. Cot, high chair and
baby bath available on request.
Outdoors: The
small front garden is enclosed and has a south-facing terrace with BBQ and
garden furniture for outdoor meals. Parking space within the property. This
is a great area for rock pools (shrimping nets are provided!) The nearest
creek is Poulguen, about 200m. away.

The house is situated 4k from Moelan-sur-Mer, a village about 10k southeast of Pont Aven and 10k from Quimperlé. The countryside around is pretty and there are lovely walks along the coastal path with little coves and creeks to explore. The nearest creek is Poulguen, about 200m away. You could swim there but it has pebbles not sand, but there are beautiful sandy beaches at Kerfany, 7k, and Trenez, 5k. The beach at Kerfany has a fantastic restaurant (mostly seafood) overlooking the sea. Le Pouldu, a pretty little resort with 3 sandy beaches is about 10k. There are excellent facilities at Quimperlé which is a picturesque old town. It has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a couple of good restaurants and picturesque half-timbered houses in attractive old streets. Pont Aven, about 10k, is famous for its Gauguin connections and has lots of art galleries. It is in a lovely setting with the river flowing through the centre of the town. This is a wonderful area, with something for everyone.
"The property was extremely clean on arrival - it was stocked with enough essentials to keep us going until a supermarket visit. The owner was extremely punctual, friendly and had a great grasp of English, which was tremendously helpful. He spent a good time with us showing us the property and advising us on the area and places to visit. The proximity to the lovely cove - about 200 metres on foot - was a gem with this property. The seclusion and quietness of the house was a delight - as was the absence of any touristy feel to the area. The holiday was a complete success!"

"The owner was very good - prompt personal attention with useful advice and nice welcoming touches such as a bottle of cider and Breton cakes for the children. Good English and very welcoming. Very pleasant location in extremely quiet village with lovely cliff walks and swimming from beach only 800 yards away. Beaches in area good and interesting and beautiful towns. Excellent directions to the property - this all helps reduce the stress of travelling and holidaying!!"
