A traditional Breton house in a superb position overlooking the sea in the attractive little village of Le Pouldu, which has a succession of delightful little coves, one of which is two minute's walk from the house. This is a very picturesque area, frequented by Gauguin and other artists of the Pont Aven School.

The house is comfortably furnished and has a cheerful atmosphere. It has central heating and an open fireplace and so is well suited to out of season lets. WIFI.

Ground floor: Spacious living room with comfortable seating, fire place, television, dvd,French windows to the garden and large dining table. Attractively fitted and modern. Kitchen area separated from the dining area by a counter bar with dish washer, 4-ring gas hob, built in electric oven, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Laundry room with washing machine and ironing board etc. Double bedroom (140cm) with French windows to the garden. Bathroom with bath, hand held shower, bidet. Separate WC.

First floor: Another pleasant sitting room on a mezzanine above the hall. Two double bedrooms with king size beds (160cm), one with a standard double bed (140cm) and two twin bedrooms. Bathroom with bath,shower and two wash basins. Separate WC. Cot and a high chair available on request. Of the six bedrooms, five have a sea view.

Outside: Enclosed garden, 2000m², with swings, garden furniture and a barbecue for outdoor meals. Parking.

Le Pouldu is on the coast about 25k west of Lorient. The house is within easy walking distance of the village and three different beaches. Le Pouldu has a couple of shops and restaurants and there is more choice at the neighbouring village of Clohars Carnoet, 4k.Quimperlé, 12k, , is a picturesque medieval town with excellent facilities including swimming pool, tennis courts, a couple of good restaurants and picturesque half-timbered houses in attractive old streets. It is 15k to Pont Aven, well known for its association with Gauguin and other artists, with several art galleries and is in a lovely setting with the river flowing through the centre of the town. It is 16k from Riec sur Belon, the oyster capital of the region. Other activities include horse-riding in the Forest of Carnoet and boat trips up the River Laita. There are wonderful walks along the coastal path starting near the property: to Le Pouldu harbour in one direction and on up the picturesque valley of the Laita, in the other direction. You can also walk to the pretty little port of Doelan, about 6k, a good place for lunch!
