Pays Bigouden is a quieter area of southern Brittany, famous for its artisanal fishing ports, Le Guilvinec is closeby and well worth visiting. There are numerous sandy beaches and the magnificent sweep of La Torche is very popular for surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing. The local town of Pont L'Abbe has a lovely old centre with good restaurants. Benodet is a 15 minute drive as is the regional town of Quimper, which has a wide range of shopping and restaurants.
" The outside of the house good do with a coat of paint. First impressions were not that good. Having said that the property provided us with everything we needed and the owners were delightful and very kind."
