Nevez is a typical Breton small town with local shops, bars and restautants and a good supermarket, all within walking distance of the house. Th house itself is in a quiet cul de sac. There are great beaches close by at Raguenez and Port Manech. A short drive will take you to Pont Aven, famous because the famous French painter Gauguin stayed there, and today its is still a great centre for local artists.
The largest local town with good shopping is Concarneau, about a 15 minute drive. This is a coastal town with a lovely enclosed old citadel jutting out into the harbour. Its great for bars and restaurants.
"Lovely location: short walk or even shorter bike ride to boulangerie in the morning! Very welcoming and helpful owners - super garden areas for the children and the indoor swimming pool was great to use. The propery itself was very comfortable and homely. Loads to see and do in the area:. Lovely beaches nearby, particularly Port Manech with its pontoon. Quimper, Concarneau and Pont Aven all great places to visit - we were particularly taken with Quimper. We would definitely return to this area and would be more than happy to stay in this property again."
