Pays Bigouden is the undiscovered corner of Southern Brittany, it has a particularly mild climate throughout the year and is the centre of artisanale fishing with 4 small fishing ports including St Guenole, that are great to visit for the freshest fish. The beaches are particularly fine with the famous La Torche surfing beach a must to visit especially if it is windy when you will see hundreds of expert surfers.
The main local town is the delightful Pont L'Abbe, while Quimper, with its old quarter, is only 20 minutes away, and the bustling resort of Benodet a 15 minute drive.
