The Blavet river winds its way slowly from Pontivy right down to Lorient on the coast. You can walk or cycle its banks all along this stretch or hire a boat or canoe. This spacious three storey property is furnished and equipped to a high standard and is enviously positioned facing the river. In a farming hamlet continuously occupied by the same family for over 100 years, and providing a superb welcome for a memorable holiday much praised by previous clients.

About the local area

Fishing in the river (permit required), trout and salmon if your lucky, use of boat, swimming permitted in the river, lovely walks or bike ride along the tow path makes this a lovely holiday location. Local shop at Lomelec(2k), supermarket at Languidec(9k). Hennebont is a lovely town with a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. The nearest beach is at Port Louis which faces Lorient across the estuary mouth with its extensive shopping and leisure facilities, and the famous Celtic Festival in early August. In 2017 there will be a contemporary art festival called "Art in the Blavet Chapels" from the 7 July - 17 September 2017
