About the local area

Pays Bigouden is the undiscovered corner of Southern Brittany, it has a particularly mild climate throughout the year and is the centre of artisanal fishing with 4 small fishing ports that are great to visit for the freshest fish. The beaches are particularly fine with the famous La Torche surfing beach a must to visit especially if it is windy when you will see hundreds of expert kite, wind and wave-surfers. The main local town is the delightful Pont L'Abbe, while Quimper, with its old quarter, is only 20 minutes away, and the bustling resort of Benodet a 15 minute drive.
